Perham hopes for a cross country sweep

(WDAY Sports) - The Perham boys and girls cross country teams also have state championships on their minds. The boys are ranked one in state; the girls are two heading to the state meet this weekend.

They are separate teams, but no question they'd like to pull off the sweep together.

“I think it shows we're working harder and it's pretty exciting to think the boys and girls both have a chance of winning the title, pretty exciting.”

“Key to winning state is just running the best we can and knowing that we have the training done and we're in the best shape we've been in, we've been improving every year. I think we just need to go out and do what we know we can do.”

The state meet is Saturday in Northfield.
