Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The future education of your student at Fargo schools is at the discussion table for the next month. Various groups in the community are giving their input on the direction the school board is taking.
Should Fargo students be required to complete a portfolio before graduating and when they graduate, should they receive differentiated degrees? These are just two questions being talked about within 5 groups at Fargo schools.
The first of those groups met this morning, school administrators from all Fargo schools. School board members are facilitating some very active conversation. A portfolio would include things like volunteer requirements and differentiated degrees would reward those students taking harder classes.
Teachers, students, parents and community members still have yet to give their input. These groups will continue meeting thru mid December. Then the board will look at the suggestions and decide on any changes.
