West Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - A group of talented West Fargo students has made history. As the youngest team in the Bison Best Robotics Challenge in October, the group took second place.

Now they're trying to raise money for their trip to the national competition in Arkansas. 31 seventh graders and four sixth graders are on the team. They're all students at the STEM Center in West Fargo.

The kids worked tirelessly for six weeks on the robot, perfecting its every move, and it's paid off.

“We're trying to make sure that people take brain breaks, we've played soccer if we need a break on the weekends, but they've put in a lot of time and their heart and souls in to this.”

If you want to help the kids get to nationals, you can send a donation to the STEM Center, and its the old Lodoen building. Mark it for Bison Best and put it in care of Tabitha Joyce or Holly Erickson.
