Barnesville students give back to the food pantry

Barnesville, Minn. (WDAY TV) - High school students in Barnesville are giving back to needy families in their community. Grades K through 12 raised nearly 2 thousand items for the first Fill the Gym project.
Students had one week to collect canned and box food items. Today the student council spread everything collected on the gym floor before making final tallies and hauling it over to the local food pantry.
“It was pretty good, we got all the sites like we picked up all the stuff from the sites yesterday and we got a lot of stuff.”
The students say they hope this is the first of many more Fill the Gym drives.
