Cass County officials are also supporting a Red River diversion project around Fargo in North Dakota for flood protection.
(WDAY TV) - Cass County officials are also supporting a Red River diversion project around Fargo in North Dakota for flood protection. The Army Corps is considering diversion options on both sides of the Red River.
Cost estimates range from around $1 billion to nearly $1.4 billion dollars. The Dilworth City Council has already voted to oppose a Minnesota diversion channel. The joint water board plans to discuss flood control options with Cass County Commissioners Monday.
