Central Cass ready to carry good season into the playoffs

Casselton, Minn. (WDAY Sports) - There's also a top five battle in class AA football set for Saturday, when 6-3 Central Cass travels to 8-1 Devils Lake. Central Cass is enjoying one of it's best seasons in years, in the playoffs for the first time since 1995. First winning season since 1999, but the coach says we'd better not be happy to just be there.

“I think the guys actually expect it. Come the playoffs, you have to bring your top game and you have to expect to win if you go in being pleased just to be in the playoffs your going to get sent packing in a hurry.”

“Some teams overlook us, being Central Cass they think we're not very good, but now we're not a team to be messed with; we'll come to your town and show you what we got.”

Lisbon, Wahpeton, and Shanley are also playing in Saturday’s state quarterfinals.
