Fargo golfer looks forward to full status on next year's nationwide tour

(WDAY Sports) - It wasn't the finish that Dave Schultz was hoping for, but there still is reason to smile today. The Fargo native came up just short in his bid for a PGA Tour card yesterday in the Nationwide Tour Championship.
He finished 33rd on the money list. He needed to be in the top 25. Schultz didn't even play a nationwide event until May, and while he's disappointed there's plenty to look forward to.
“I just need a couple days to step away from this and see the positives from this year. Worst case scenario, I have full status on the nationwide tour next year. I've never had that so hopefully I can do some good things, but also the PGA Tour qualifying school and I'm just going to look forward to that.”
