Fargo ranked third for best places to raise a family

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Fargo has some new bragging rights. The city made another top ten list; this time in Children's Health Magazine. This isn't just a Fargo neighborhood. This is one of the best places in the country to raise a family.

That's according to children's health magazine which ranks it number three behind Madison Wisconsin, and number one ranked Burlington Vermont. The reason is because it’s good education system, environment, public safety, and stable economy.

City Commissioner Mike Williams says the ranking is great because it shows Fargo's a vibrant, family-friendly community.

“We're always looking to become a magnetic more attractive community so people choose Fargo to live work and play.”

This isn't the first time Fargo’s landed at the top of a list. Some of the other rankings it’s gotten are top five in places to retire, overall environment, healthiest cities to live in. It also has some of the greenest drivers. Downtown Fargo was also ranked in the top ten for U.S. neighborhoods.
