Impressive weekend for the Force

Fargo, ND (WDAY Sports) - The Fargo Force is coming off an impressive weekend, 2 for 2 away from home. A 6-5 overtime win at Tri-City on Friday, then Saturday night a 5-2 win at Omaha against a Lancers team that was undefeated.

The coaches say the players bought in to their vision of doing all the little things right.

“The main thing about it is that we just eliminated mistakes and played a simple game. Got pucks out of our zone and got pucks in deep and I think that's been some of the problems we've had early on, just trying to do too much.”

“Finding out if you can win on the road early in the season is important for later in the season and Omaha is supposed to be one of the best teams and we went in there and really took it to them.”

The Force are back on the road again this weekend at Des Moines and Waterloo.
