Crookston, Minn. (WDAY TV) - The underwear craze is catching on in the region. On Crookston's Broadway Avenue, hundreds of bras are decorating the Eagle Drug building in downtown.

Just like the display on the Ho-Do in downtown Fargo, its a way to bring awareness to breast cancer, roughly 1,050 braziers all together.

The project organizer and breast cancer survivor Shirley Reitmeier says the project is not with out its controversy. She says she's had some negative comments, but many more in support.

“It hasn’t been all positive, but everyone has their own opinion. I just hope they never have to go through cancer at all themselves.”

Shirley says she plans on making project an annual event, but only a bigger.
