MADDOCK, N.D. (AP) - The North Dakota Highway Patrol has identified a woman killed in a rollover crash near Maddock.
Troopers say 24-year-old Heidi Jo Anderson died at the scene on Tuesday. Two children, ages 3 and 1 month, were taken to a Rugby medical center and later taken to a Minot hospital. They were in car seats at the time of the crash.
The patrol says the Anderson was driving toward Devils Lake in a sport utility vehicle around 11:15 a.m. Tuesday. The patrol says the driver was traveling too fast for the muddy and slippery conditions and lost control on the gravel road.
The patrol says the vehicle rolled after striking a field approach. The vehicle landed back on its wheels, but the driver was ejected.
