GRAFTON, N.D. (AP) — A Grand Forks man has been sentenced for burglarizing Walsh County farmsteads and stealing a cash machine from a convenience store in Minto.

Gregory Nordrum was ordered to spend two years behind bars and three years on supervised probation. He also was ordered to pay restitution and $1,100 in fines and fees. The amount of restitution will be determined later.

Nordrum in August pleaded guilty to burglary counts and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in the crimes, which happened in the past three years. Authorities say Nordrum hooked a chain to the ATM machine and used a pickup to pull it out of the store.

He pleaded guilty earlier to an ATM theft in Drayton, in Pembina County. Walsh County State's Attorney Barbara Whelan says the sentence includes that crime.
