A Detroit Lakes man is sentenced for spanking a one year old too hard.
(WDAY TV) - A Detroit Lakes man is sentenced for spanking a one year old too hard. 18-year-old Garret Davis will spend 26 days in jail and be on probation for five years.
In March he was babysitting his girlfriend's child when he told her the child fell on a toy. Davis later admitted to spanking the child. The victim had red marks on the face, purple bruises on ears, and blue bruises in the shape of a hand on the buttocks.
