WEST FARGO, N.D. (AP) — West Fargo businessman Danny Schatz has the go-ahead to get cost estimates and fine-tune a proposal to lease the Red River Valley Speedway.
The Red River Valley Fair Association voted unanimously on Wednesday to approve Schatz's leasing proposal in concept.
Association President David Strand said preliminary endorsement allows both parties to get more details before signing anything.
Schatz's proposal includes shortening the track and moving race night from Friday to Wednesday. He is the father of World of Outlaws sprint car driver Donny Schatz.
