Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The class of 2009 has been inducted into the Bison Athletic Hall of Fame. The 38th annual class features seven new members and its third national championship team into the Bison Athletic Hall of Champions.
Our own Dana Mogck and Scott Miller served as the emcees for the event held this afternoon at the Holiday Inn. For all seven, they say it was a distinct honor and a day to remember.
One of the main attractions at the bison hall of fame banquet was former coach Ron Erhardt. The Mandan North Dakota native led the newly inducted 1969 NDSU National Championship football team.
Erhardt had a record of 67-7 and 1 during his 7 years of head coaching the Bison. He later went on to a successful NFL career as the head coach of the New England Patriots and then as Offensive Coordinator for New York Giants teams that went on to win two Super bowls.
