(WDAY Sports) - There's a month to go in the nationwide tour season, and that might mean just one more month in the minor leagues for David Schultz.
The Fargo native sits 21st on the money list with 4 events to play, and the top 25 at season's end earn PGA tour membership, but there are some big purses in the home stretch and this afternoon on WDAY Radio's Sports Talk Schultz said a lot can change.
“The goal that you've dreamed about is right there in front of you and its not easy to stay focused on every shot. I'm trying to I'm doing all I can, the last couple weekends haven't been the best and I’ve found myself frustrated that I wasn't near the lead so I need to get that out of my system.”
This weeks' tournament is in San Jacinto, California. A top 5 finish would likely seal Schultz's spot in the top 25.
