Barnesville, Minn. (WDAY Sports) - There's a new program on the rise in the Minnesota high school ranks. Actually it's been pretty strong, but this year the Barnesville Trojans could have a really special season.

They were 7-3 the last two years in class AA, but this year they were moved down to class A when the co-op with Rothsay ended. Now they're 2-0 and feeling like they can be a state tournament team.

“Our kids felt revived and every single starter I have right now has been in the weight room constantly for the last year, they were reborn because they knew they had a chance.”

“Everybody got in the weight room this year and you can tell we have a much stronger team, just pushing people around you can tell that's where our strength's at.”

The Trojans figure to have an easy road to 3-0, Blackduck comes in Friday after being outscored 102 to 16 in its first 2 games.
