Bison Drop to 0-2, Lose At Sam Houston State

The Bison football team dropped it's second straight game to start the season, losing a shootout to Sam Houston State, 48-45. NDSU allowed 620 total yards to the BearKats in defeat, including 482 thru the air,a school record. NDSU returns to Fargo this weekend for it's home opener against Wagner College of New York Saturday at 6.

the season, losing a shootout to Sam Houston State, 48-45. NDSU allowed 620 total yards to the BearKats in defeat, including 482 thru the air,a school record. NDSU returns to Fargo this weekend for it's home opener against Wagner College of New York Saturday at 6. Nick Mertens had a solid day thru the air, completing 14 of 26 passes for 231 yards and 3 TD's. Pat Paschall had another career day on the ground, rushing for 176 yards and a score. Titus Mack's first career reception for the Bison went for a 63 yard score as NDSU rallied from a 24-7 halftime deficit to tie the game at 45. Sam Houston state kicked the game winning field goal with 26 seconds left to avenge a 41-38 defeat to the Bison here in Fargo in 2007.
