(WDAY TV) - Help is coming for Bobcat employees who will lose their jobs as the company consolidates. Bobcat is shutting down its Bismarck plant by January and consolidating jobs and production in Gwinner.
The economic recovery plan signed into law earlier this year will provide more than 6-million dollars to help bobcat workers and others find new jobs.
“That $6-million is in the hands of state government at this point and my hope is and expectation is that will be used to try and be helpful to these workers and other who have lost their jobs. Employment training, job searches all the other related services that can and will be helpful to these employees and their families who are now looking for other opportunities.”
Bismarck and state leaders are searching to bring other companies in to replace the lost jobs.
