Fargo, ND (WDAY Sports) - Football coaches will tell you that the biggest improvement a team will make is from game one to game two. It’s safe to say that Craig Bohl is counting on that to happen this weekend for the Bison.
NDSU turned the ball over twice Thursday night; a fumble by Nick Mertens in the end zone, and an interception, but the coach saw some positives as well.
“I thought Nick did some good things, there are some things that he can improve I think there was more positive things than negative. However that was a winnable game and we didn't get it done, we came in and competed at times, we made too many mistakes, we got to correct those things.”
Bohl also said today that wide receiver Gary Williams is out three to four weeks with an MCL sprain and cornerback Josh Gatlin is out a couple weeks with a high ankle sprain.
