Pelican Rapids, Minn. (WDAY TV) - The Pelican Rapids school district will take another run at a levy referendum. The measure failed last year by 144 votes.
After severe cuts amounting to 1.5 million recently, the school district will ask voters in November to re-consider. If residents approve the measure, it would raise a million dollars for the schools.
This, after residents came through following the no vote last year.
“This last spring the community raised 100 thousand dollars and for our community to come forward with that kind of money is impressive.”
The school vote will take place on November 3rd. The Moorhead school district has a vote as well.
