Fargo, ND (WDAY Sports) - On a night eerily reminiscent of the summer we never had, the RedHawks set their sights squarely on the fall. A win tonight against Kansas City and the Hawks would be just a half game out of first place and a half game back of Gary in the race for home field advantage in the playoffs.

The bats strike early, bottom of the 2nd, Jeremiah Piepkorn drills one to deep left, his 16th of the year. Hawks up 1-0.

Move to the 3rd, the hometown nine strikes again. Nic Jackson adds to his league leading RBI total with a single to left. That plates Justin Justice; Hawks have a 3-nothing lead on the steaks.

The rains came but that couldn't dampen Billy Weitzman tonight.

In the 6th, he gets the strikeout of Greg Jacobs and Alan Rick throws out Damian Rolls. The strike’em out throw’em out!

And make it 11 of 13 for the Hawks, they win it 5-2, now a half game back of Gary at 52-36.
