Moorhead, Minn. (WDAY TV) - A Moorhead man charged in a fatal bus crash that killed a teenager may now plead guilty.
70-year-old Loren Ernst is charged with three counts including criminal vehicular homicide.
Ernst was driving a bus of pelican rapids band students that rolled in Albertville in April 2008. 16-year-old Jessica Weishair died.
Court documents say Ernst admitted to being tired. No deal has been made, but a pretrial hearing is next month. Prosecutors want a 180 day sentence of jail and home monitoring or community service.
The defense says that's too long, but Ernst doesn't want to go to trial.
