Surgery a success

(WDAY TV) - Mahnomen County Sheriff's Deputy Chris Dewey was expected to have surgery again today to replace a shunt that isn't working right.

(WDAY TV) - Mahnomen County Sheriff's Deputy Chris Dewey was expected to have surgery again today to replace a shunt that isn't working right.

The shunt is designed to relieve pressure in Dewey's cranium. Dewey was shot in the head and abdomen in the line of duty earlier this year.

He's hospitalized in Colorado. He hasn't spoken in more than a week which is possibly caused by the pressure due to the shunt not working properly.
