Fargo, ND (WDAY Sports) - Expectations could not be higher at the North Dakota Horse Park this year.

The track is about to begin it's seventh season of racing and now they're running out of room for the horses!

General Manager Heather Benson that the number of horses is up fifty percent from last year, and they're at capacity right now at 415 horses, with a waiting list growing and the word is finally starting to spread.

“We have a great barn, a great race track, it's one of the safest race tracks in the United States and we've reached the critical mass point, we've been around long enough, people know we're here, they know it's fun to come to Fargo a lot of our horsemen come from three or four states away, and to be honest it's part of being in Fargo people enjoy being here in the summer.”

Racing begins next Friday.
