(WDAY Sports) - Ben Woodside was supposed to make his NBA summer league debut today, as the Timberwolves squad he's a part of took the court for the first time in Las Vegas.
He ended up taking the first did not play-coaches decision of his career. Of the 13 players on the Wolves team, Woodside was the only one that didn't get in the game.
Wolves top pick Jonny Flynn did play, and show some nice things.
2nd quarter, Flynn with the nice pass to Garret Siler for the dunk, Flynn had 7 assists, but also 7 turnovers.
Later he drives, hangs and makes the tough lay in. Flynn also scored 11 points.
The team will play again tomorrow in Las Vegas and hopefully Woodside will see some action.
