Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Some of you may have seen a man biking along I-94 today. In case you wondered why, it's all for a good cause.
Craig Broeder passed through Fargo tonight on a 100-day trek. The 55 year old from Illinois is biking 9-thousand miles across 32 states. He wants to raise awareness of ovarian cancer, especially in young women.
The disease is close to his heart. Broeder's wife is an ovarian cancer survivor. He hopes the ride will raise one million dollars for a cure.
“I wanted to do something for me that was exceptionally challenging by putting in an extreme time limit and mileage on it so I can kind of feel pain in a way I wouldn't know or whether I could even be successful kind of what happens when you become a cancer survivor.”
