Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - It's traveled more than 18 thousand 500 miles, all by the power of the sun, and today it stopped in Fargo.
The solar car project started in New York. The team wanted to drive further than anyone ever had using a solar car.
So far, it's more than doubled the world record. Powered by nearly nine hundred cells, the sun's energy is converted into electricity.
The car can go about 50 miles per hour and uses less energy than a toaster to operate.
