Dewey fighting a low grade fever

(WDAY TV) - The Mahnomen County Deputy shot during a standoff in February continues to struggle with his recovery.
Chris Dewey is fighting a low grade fever. Doctors plan to perform surgery Friday if the infection is down by then.
Fluid is building up where he was shot in the head and doctors want to a put a shunt in that area. Dewey is still in ICU and is speaking and sitting up more every day.
