Body of missing man swept off road recovered

ADAMS, N.D. (AP) — Authorities say they have recovered the body of a man whose pickup was swept off a flooded road and into the Park River in mid-April.

The Walsh County Sheriff's Department says the body of 27-year-old Jared Udby of Adams was found Friday night.

Authorities say the body was in the west end of Homme Dam, a small manmade lake about two miles east and downstream of where Udby's pickup went into the water.

Two passengers in the pickup also went into the river but were able to make it to shore. The truck got hung up in the river about 200 yards from where it went in the water and was retrieved about three weeks later.
