Still no trace of missing man swept off road

ADAMS, N.D. (AP) — Authorities say searches in the Park River have found no trace of a man whose pickup was swept off a flooded road last month. Two passengers in the pickup say 27-year-old Jared Udby of Adams kicked out the driver's side window and crawled out when the truck went into the flooded river. Passengers Greg Gustafson of Adams and Ashley Blasky of Fordville followed him and made it to shore.

The river is nearly at its normal level. But Walsh County Sheriff Loren Wild says the flooding caused a section of it to change paths.

Park River Fire Chief Jeff Dahlen says the river is full of silt and a dive team is studying ways to continue searching. He says authorities are not giving up.
