Cass Co. Deputy Puts Out Fire

Fargo, ND (WDAY-TV) -- A Cass County Sheriff’s Deputy may have saved a vacant building from burning to the ground overnight. Deputy Joe Gress saw flames coming from the vacant Happy Hour Bar on County Road 81 just before 11:00 pm. Gress used a fire extinguisher from his patrol car to put out most of the fire.

Fargo, ND (WDAY-TV) -- A Cass County Sheriff’s Deputy may have saved a vacant building from burning to the ground overnight.

Deputy Joe Gress saw flames coming from the vacant Happy Hour Bar on County Road 81 just before 11:00 pm.

Gress used a fire extinguisher from his patrol car to put out most of the fire.

Fire crews from Gardner and Grandin put out the rest of the blaze.

Deputy Gress say the fire was contained mainly to the entryway, causing about $2,000 in damage.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
