Jamestown quiet zone vote scheduled
JAMESTOWN, N.D. (AP) — Residents of Jamestown on Tuesday will be voting on a proposed quiet zone for train whistles. The vote was to be held on April 7, but city officials rescheduled it because of flooding worries. Those worries persist, but officials are going ahead with the vote.

City residents voted down the quiet zone idea last June, but its supporters gathered petitions with enough signatures to revive it.
