Semi Hits, Kills Loose Horse on Highway 2 West of Crookston

WEST OF CROOKSTON, MN (WDAZ-TV) - A semi driver tried to avoid three loose horses that wandered onto Highway 2 west of Crookston, but hit one, killing it.
At 2:16 a.m. Monday, 50-year-old Gary English, of Flint, MI, was driving a semi truck west on Highway 2 about four miles west of Crookston when three horses were on or near the highway.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, English moved over a lane and missed one of the horses, but hit another one. English was not hurt in the crash.
The semi had minor damage.
