Pickup Plows Into MN Bar, Sending 5 to Hospital

LITTLE CANADA, Minn. (AP) — A pickup truck has crashed into a Twin Cities bar, sending five people to the hospital.

A Ramsey County sheriff's spokesman says the pickup crashed into Gordie's Place in Little Canada about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.

A sheriff's deputy was passing by and saw the woman's eastbound pickup cross the westbound lanes, take out a utility pole and then crash well into the side of the bar.

The Star Tribune (http://bit.ly/KWYMdr) reports several people were briefly trapped at the bar.

Four people in the bar were taken to a hospital with serious injuries. The driver also was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries or a possible medical complication.
