Semi Driver Injured in Crash North of Cooperstown

NEAR COOPERSTOWN, ND (WDAZ-TV) - The male driver of a semi was injured in a crash north of Cooperstown on Monday afternoon after he over-corrected on North Dakota Highway 45.

Griggs County Sheriff Bob Hook says the crash happened around 3:45 p.m. A witness to the crash said it happened near the intersection with Highway 65.

Hook said a portion of Highway 45 is closed as crews work to move the damaged semi.

The driver over-corrected and rolled into the ditch, causing heavy damage to the cab on the driver's side.

He was initially taken to a hospital in Cooperstown, but was transferred to Fargo. The extent of the driver's injuries and his identity weren't available Monday evening.
