4 Escape Mentor, MN, House Fire

MENTOR, MN (WDAZ-TV) - Four people were able to escape a house fire in Mentor on Sunday by climbing through a window. The Polk County Sheriff's Office says the fire was reported at 8:30 p.m. Sunday at 17550 320th St. SE. in Mentor.

MENTOR, MN (WDAZ-TV) - Four people were able to escape a house fire in Mentor on Sunday by climbing through a window.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office says the fire was reported at 8:30 p.m. Sunday at 17550 320th St. SE. in Mentor.

As firefighters arrived, all of the occupants were in the yard of the home, having escaped through the window.

The four who escaped were Mentor resident Carole Johnson, an elderly disabled male, a disabled juvenile male and a visiting juvenile female. The only injuries they had were minor cuts from exiting through the window.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office says the Minnesota Deputy Fire Marshall was contacted. The cause of the fire and extent of the damage was not available late Sunday.

Also responding to the scene were the Erskine Fire Department and Polk County EMS.

The fire remains under investigation.
