WARREN, MN (WDAZ-TV) - The prosecution rested its case Monday in the murder trial of Grygla native Damien Marsden, 33. He's facing three counts of second-degree murder in the death of his four-month-old son.

The Grand Forks Herald reports an expert witness testified that the boy's injuries were not from falling off of a bed, as Marsden told authorities. The witness said Rylin Marsden died as a result of non-accidental head trauma.

Investigators believe the injuries happened in August 2009 at Marsden's home in Grygla. Rylin died of his injuries six days later at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo.

The jury is scheduled to reconvene Tuesday.
