(WDAZ-TV) - At least 15 windshields were shot out with a BB or pellet gun late Tuesday or early Wednesday morning in Cooperstown and Finley, according to Griggs County Chief Sheriff's Deputy Terry Gray.

Gray says windshields of brand-new vehicles at V-W Motors in Cooperstown and used vehicles at Finley Motors were shot. The new factory glass can run from $800 to $1,200 a windshield, Gray said.

Damage caused at V-W motors could amount to about $6,000.

The Griggs County Sheriff's Department continues to investigate the incidents. Gray said they're working to check security cameras around the area.
