GF Man Arrested After Stealing Car From Rydell Lot, Fleeing on Foot

GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - A Grand Forks man is in jail after stealing a car from Rydell Auto Center.

21-year-old Keith Ranisate has been arrested for theft of a motor vehicle.

Grand Forks police found the stolen car driving on the south end of town.

An officer followed the driver for a short amount of time before he pulled into a driveway on the 1100 block of S. 20th St.

Ranisate left the car running and ran from the vehicle.

An officer chased him for a short while on foot and police set up a perimeter to confine the area.

Police say Ranisate knocked on a door and a woman let him in to use the phone.

Shortly after they pinpointed his whereabouts, he was arrested without incident.
