3 Former UND Football Players Charged With Drug Possession

GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - Three former UND football players were arrested following a search at their house on Thursday.

GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - Three former UND football players were arrested following a search at their house on Thursday.

Police say Justin Belotti is charged with possession of anabolic steroids and Adderall.

Mitch Goertz was also charged with possession of Adderall and less than half an ounce of marijuana and paraphernalia.

Charges against Kenny Watkins haven't been filed yet, but according to a court document, police found a marijuana grinder, two pipes and a bag of marijuana with less than a half ounce.

Possession of steroid and adderall are both class c felonies. The players could face a maximum sentence of five years in prison and a $5,000 fine.

The three former football players were seniors on the team this fall.

UND Athletics Director Brian Faison said in a statement that the department is aware of the situation and ongoing investigation. "We are extremely disappointed and we are cooperating with authorities."
