Devils Lake Police: High-speed Chase Ends After DUI Suspect's Car Catches Fire

DEVILS LAKE, ND (WDAZ-TV) - A 27-year-old man led police on an early-morning, high-speed chase over the weekend.

DEVILS LAKE, ND (WDAZ-TV) - A 27-year-old man led police on an early-morning, high-speed chase over the weekend.

Police say an officer attempted to pull over Michael Marion of Ft. Totten in the 500 block of 5th Ave. NE. shortly before 2 a.m. Saturday morning, but Marion took off.

Police say speeds in the chase topped 100 miles an hour at times.

Marion lead police through a residential portion in northeast Devils Lake.

The chase ended on Highway 20 north of the city as Marion's car caught fire.

He's charged with fleeing and DUI in addition to driving under suspension and without insurance.

Authorities say more charges are possible.
