GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - Police arrested two members of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity and cited six other students in a drug bust around 1:45 Tuesday afternoon.

Of the two arrested was the chapter president Kevin Boegeman, 20. The other was Spencer Miller, 19.

Officers with the Grand Forks Narcotics Task Force obtained a search warrant for Miller's room and common areas.

At the house at 601 Princeton St., officers recovered half an ounce of marijuana, several pipes, a marijuana grinder, baggies and a digital scale in Miller's room.

Now, the fraternity is facing serious consequences from its international headquarters. It could be put on probation or the charter could be suspended, closing the chapter.

Boegeman was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia. Miller was charged for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia.

UND Police Chief Duane Czapiewski told the Grand Forks Herald that drug use on the UND campus is climbing and marijuana use is considered by many as not a "big thing."
