FORT TOTTEN, ND (WDAZ-TV) - The North Dakota Highway Patrol has identified the 10-year-old boy killed in a Sunday crash.
The patrol says Noah A. Littlewind, of Fort Totten, died after the bicycle he was riding was hit by a pickup truck driven by Anelle Howard, 46, of Sheyenne, ND.
Littlewind was riding his bike into the path of the pickup on state Highway 57 about a mile west of Fort Totten.
The crash happened a 7:35 p.m. near the Four Winds School, according to an accident report. The right front side of the pickup struck the bike in the westbound lane of the highway.
Littlewind was transported to Mercy Hospital in Devils Lake where he was pronounced dead.
The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
Bureau of Indian Affairs, Benson County Sheriff's Office and Spirit Lake Ambulance service assisted the patrol at the scene of the accident.
