Man Pleads Guilty to Luring Grand Forks Minor By Computer

GRAND FORKS, ND (WDAZ-TV) - A Minot man has pleaded guilty in Grand Forks County Court today to luring a Minor by Computer.

GRAND FORKS, ND (WDAZ-TV) - A Minot man has pleaded guilty in Grand Forks County Court today to luring a minor by computer.

Michael Swanson, 38, of Minot, agreed to a plea deal of a ten year sentence with four years suspended.

Authorities say Swanson chatted online about sex with someone he believed was a 14-year-old girl but was actually a member of law enforcement.

According to court papers, they talked to each other online and through text messages for a couple weeks.

Then Swanson traveled to Grand Forks where he expected to meet the minor.

He is scheduled to be sentenced on November 30.
