American Crystal Sugar union workers have been locked out of their jobs for almost three weeks and Crystal vice president Brian Ingulsrud says the company is standing by its final offer, and hopes the union will reconsider and take another vote on the proposal.

Before the lockout, the offer included a $2,000 signing bonus for each employee, but Ingulsrud says the signing bonus was taken off the table after August 1.

Union sticking points are the company's desire to have them pay a portion of the health insurance premium, and language in the proposed contract that the union says would make it easier for Crystal to out-source some jobs to non-union workers.
