3 Injured in McIntosh, MN, Crash

The Minnesota State Patrol says James Johanneck, 66, of Red Lake Falls, Waivel Johanneck, 66, also of Red Lake Falls, and Donald Degroat, 28, of Moorhead, all sustained non life-threatening injuries.

Three people were injured in an accident in McIntosh, MN, Monday night.

The Minnesota State Patrol says James Johanneck, 66, of Red Lake Falls, Waivel Johanneck, 66, also of Red Lake Falls, and Donald Degroat, 28, of Moorhead, all sustained non life-threatening injuries.

The crash happened at 9:51 p.m. as James Johanneck was driving a 2007 Ford westbound on U.S. Highway 2 in McIntosh. Degroat was crossing the highway in a 2012 Oldsmobile and failed to yield to Johanneck, according to an accident report.

Degroat struck the right front of Johanneck's vehicle and was ejected through the rear window and was found lying on the roadway, the Patrol reports.

Degroat and Waivel Johanneck were taken to a Fosston hospital. James Johanneck was treated and released.
