Violations within the 25th Street construction
Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The 25th Street construction project can be frustrating for drivers.
But, the ND Highway patrol is urging people to be patient.
Since May 1st the North Dakota Highway patrol has had 34 speeding citations, 7 speed warnings and 10 criminal arrests including driving without a license within the 25th street construction.
The minimum fee for speeding within a construction zone in North Dakota is 40 dollars, but additional charges are added for every mile per hour over the speed limit.
Sgt. Luke Hendrickson/ ND Highway Patrol: “People are always in a hurry and they want to get through those zones as quickly as possible, but the quickest way to get through the zones is to follow the speed limit, provide enough room between you and the vehicle in front of you, and just be aware of your surroundings so that you're not going to cut anybody off if you're going to make a lane change.”
The expected completion of 25th Streets construction is not until November.
