Vikings open up three day mandatory mini-camp Tuesday
Minneapolis, MN (WDAY TV) - One of these years, the quarterback battle isn't going to be so intriguing for the Vikings.
Or, so we hope.
Until then, it will be the hottest topic at Winter Park.
The Vikings opened a three day mandatory mini-camp Tuesday.
Matt Cassel, who finished the year as the starter, took most of the first team reps, with first round pick Teddy Bridgewater getting a few as well.
Christian Ponder may be on the outside looking in, but head coach Mike Zimmer isn't ready to name anyone starter yet.
Mike Zimmer/Vikings Head Coach: “You know I want to give everybody an opportunity and make sure it's a legitimate opportunity for all of them and then we'll start narrowing down the reps as we get going, but it won't be for a while. The thing I want to guard against most is rushing into a decision where we make a decision quickly as opposed to making the right decision.”
