Tegan Lancaster has lunch with First Lady at White House
Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - What a summer vacation story a Fargo middle schooler will have.
11-year-old Tegan Lancaster spent today at the White House rubbing elbows with the President and First Lady at the Kid's State Dinner this afternoon.
She was one of 54 kids who were invited to Washington after a nationwide healthy recipe contest.
Tegan's recipe for a Grilled Veggie Brunch was the winning North Dakota dish.
The kids toasted each other -- toured the South Lawn -- sat on White House furniture and ate off Presidential China.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Obama spoke at today's luncheon.
Tegan's mom calls it a surreal and "life moment" type of day.
